Dallas Mavericks X Best Buddies is a Slam Dunk partnership 🧺🏀
The Mavs Foundation has awarded Best Buddies $50,000 grant for the 2025-206 season to grow friendship and inclusion across North Texas.

It's March, which means it is officially Best Buddies Month!!
(Although we like to say every month is Best Buddies Month😉)

March marks the start of a month long celebration promoting all things Best Buddies. We celebrate Best Buddies Month by lifting up our incredible volunteers, schools, and partners that work every day to promote Best Buddies.

With the help of all of you we continue to fuel our mission to expand inclusion and create opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, not just in Texas, but around the world!

Area Director, Tracy Churchman and North Texas Ambassadors Katie Boone & Tysen had a blast meeting with Waymo in Dallas.

With our Annual Friendship Walks underway, we appreciate the opportunity to connect with community partners like Waymo, and share more about the Best Buddies mission and the impact of inclusion in our communities.

This weekend, our North Texas Advisory Board gathered for a "New Year Renewal Board Retreat", hosted by Credit Union of Texas Union of Texas.

The advisory board took time to reflect on 2025 wins, talked through goals for the year ahead, and spent time with a group of people who genuinely care about bringing our mission to North Texas. This board is made up of STRONG community leaders who are engaged, invested, and committed to strengthening our mission across North Texas.

We’re also excited to welcome two new members to the board Karina Brumit and Heather Wagemann.
Thank you to each volunteer who gives their time and leadership they bring to Best Buddies in North Texas!!

Last week at our annual Staff Leadership Conference our very own Deputy Director of Jobs, Cheyenne Jock, was recognized at our Staff Leadership Conference for serving Best Buddies for the past 5 years.

Join us in celebrating her commitment to Best Buddies.
5 years of her time, energy, and continuous loyalty to bringing change in Texas. Cheyenne leads a team of job coaches, trains our employer partners on inclusivity in the workplace, and continues to have innovative ways to spread that inclusion is the standard.

She continues to inspire the Texas team with her visionary mindset and compassion for others. We can lean on Cheyenne to turn to for guidance, reassurance, and her wisdom. We are incredibly grateful for her commitment to Best Buddies Texas. Our Jobs program, and our Texas staff’s strength continues to grow because of her.

What a gift to have Cheyenne for 5 Years! Hip Hip Hooray!
