🚫 Don’t Drink & Drive This Holiday Season 🎄✨

The holidays are a time for celebration but they’re also one of the most dangerous times on the road. Alcohol-impaired driving continues to be a major preventable cause of tragedy, with thousands of lives lost each year due to drunk-driving crashes.

As you gather with friends and family, make a plan before you celebrate:
✔️ Choose a sober driver
✔️ Use a ride-share or taxi
✔️ Stay the night if you need to
✔️ Look out for each other

Your choices can save lives , including your own.
Let’s keep our community safe this season. ❤️ Drive sober. Drive safe.

In Texas, va**ng (e-cigarette use) is still the most commonly used to***co product among teens. Many believe it’s safer than smoking, but that’s far from true.

Vapes are not “just harmless vapor.” They typically contain ni****ne which can harm the developing brain, plus toxic chemicals like formaldehyde, acrolein, heavy metals, and ultrafine particles that can reach deep into the lungs.

These substances can affect memory, attention, mood, and breathing, and they put teens at risk for long-term addiction and lung damage.

Bottom line: Va**ng isn’t safe, especially for growing bodies and brains!

Our Story

The Region 3 Prevention Resource Center (PRC) is one of 11 Centers in the State of Texas that conducts activities aimed at improving substance abuse prevention strategies in our community. Focusing on alcohol (specifically underage drinking), ma*****na and prescription drugs, the PRC serves as a central data collection repository. The PRC encourages school districts in North Central Texas to administer the Texas School Survey, conducted by the Texas A&M Public Policy Research Institute. This survey provides local data and enhances our ability to make data-driven decisions when planning substance abuse prevention strategies. The PRC also identifies regional training needs and resources, and coordinates substance abuse prevention training opportunities for local community, county, and state organizations. For more information visit www.prc3.org.
