North Texas Therapy & Home Care is a therapist owned and operated company. Our processes utilize the most up-to-date technology and methods of treatment.

At North Texas Therapy & Home Care our goal is to create a comfortable therapeutic relationship in a relaxed atmosphere to help children reach beyond their individual goals. In January 2005, we established our company as North Dallas Speech with a primary focus on personalized care for Speech Therapy services. In order to provide comprehensive care to our clients, we found it necessary to include Physical and Occupational Therapies. With this expansion in 2010, we became North Texas Therapy & Home Care, a licensed Home Health Agency. Our dedicated team of professionals includes Speech-Language Pathologists, Speech Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists and Translators. We encourage open lines of communication between the therapist and family to ensure regular progress updates and availability to our staff when questions arise. We create individualized plans of care and implement them with interdisciplinary communication to ensure all medical and educational professionals, therapists and consultants are working towards the same goals.

🌟 Thankful Thursday! 🌟

We’re so thankful for our knowledgeable, caring, and passionate supervisors who guide and support our SLPAs, COTAs, PTAs, and graduate student interns each semester. Their dedication helps shape confident, compassionate therapists who make a real difference.

Last week, we received one of the best compliments from a parent after their child’s PT evaluation with one of our students and her supervisor:

“Tina and Christina did such an amazing job evaluating my daughter. They were thorough, provided a lot of information as the eval was happening, and made it so much fun for my child (and me ☺️). I am so grateful for such a wonderful team to treat my child.”

This November, North Texas Therapy & Home Care is taking time to spotlight all the things we’re thankful for — and today, we’re sending a BIG thank you to the incredible doctor’s offices, referral coordinators, and marketing team who make what we do possible! 💙

There are so many behind-the-scenes steps that happen before we even begin treating our amazing families. Our phenomenal doctors take their time during well visits, ensuring every child is meeting developmental milestones and recognizing when therapy may be needed. From there, our dedicated referral coordinators jump into action—coordinating care, checking therapist availability, and making sure every child gets connected with the services they need. And our hardworking marketing team keeps everything moving—delivering paperwork, securing signed orders, and serving as the vital liaison between providers, families, and our clinical staff.

It truly takes a team effort to bring quality care into the homes of our patients, and we are SO grateful for every person who helps make that possible. 💛

🎃 This Halloween, Let’s Make Trick-or-Treating Inclusive for Every Child! 👻

As you open your door to excited trick-or-treaters this year, remember: not every child experiences Halloween the same way. 💛

✨ A few things to keep in mind:

👻If a child isn’t wearing a costume, it may be because certain fabrics, masks, or makeup cause sensory discomfort.

🎃If a child doesn’t say “Trick or Treat!” or “Thank you,” they may be nonverbal or working on communication skills.

🍬If a child takes more than one piece of candy, it might be due to challenges with fine motor skills or coordination.

🍫If a child takes a little longer to choose candy, they may need extra time to process choices.

🦇If you see a teenager or older child trick-or-treating, they might be developmentally younger or simply enjoying the holiday in their own way.

Every child deserves to feel included, welcomed, and celebrated this Halloween. Let’s create a night full of kindness, understanding, and smiles for all. 💫
