✨MEADOWS SUCCESS STORY: Dorothy’s Journey Home 🏡💪

After experiencing a fall at home that resulted in a femur fracture, Dorothy came to The Meadows for skilled Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physical Therapy (PT) services. When she began her rehabilitation journey, she required maximal assistance for transfers and walking.

With over a month of consistent therapy, determination, and the unwavering support of our dedicated rehab team, Dorothy made incredible progress every single day 💙👏 Her strength improved, her confidence grew, and she advanced from needing extensive help to walking with a cane on her own 🦯

Through hard work, encouragement, and teamwork, Dorothy achieved her goal of returning home safely to the community with her son by her side 🏡❤️

Dorothy shared her heartfelt gratitude, saying, “These girls were absolutely the best!” 🌟💬

We are so proud of Dorothy’s resilience and honored to be part of her recovery journey! 💙🙌

Our Therapy Program Manager, Alicia, recently welcomed residents of The Meadows Manor to an informative session about the therapy services available right here on our campus.

Residents who choose outpatient therapy with Trinity Rehab Services enjoy full access to our outpatient clinic conveniently located inside the Meadows Manor building — making care easy and accessible.

We proudly offer:
✔️ Physical Therapy
✔️ Occupational Therapy
✔️ Speech Language Pathology

Our highly trained therapists utilize advanced modalities including heat & ice therapy, paraffin wax, ultrasound, and E-stim to help reduce pain, improve function, and enhance overall quality of life.

Our residents enjoyed delicious Valentine’s desserts and were so touched by a special visit from the sweet students at Misericordia University, who delivered thoughtful cards and roses. 🌹💌

What a wonderful visit at the Meadows Manor! 💙

Our residents absolutely love welcoming special speakers and building meaningful community connections — and today did not disappoint! We were honored to spend time with Brenda Pugh, who shared so many inspiring stories and insights.

From her 21+ years involvement with the Luzerne County Fair to starting the beloved tree lighting tradition in Dallas, Representative Pugh spoke about her deep love of family and community. She also shared about her diverse professional background, including launching a female-run communications company dedicated to helping firefighters, EMS personnel, and the community stay safe.

The discussion was lively, thoughtful, and filled with wonderful questions from our residents — just the way we like it! 👏

Thank you, Representative Pugh, for spending your afternoon with us and for the work you continue to do for our community. We look forward to many more meaningful conversations!

🌟 What a wonderful week it’s been at the Meadows Nursing & Rehabilitation Center! 🌟

We were so grateful to spend time with the incredible students from Nightingale College, who traveled all the way from Delaware and California to complete a one-week clinical rotation as they work toward earning their BSN. 🩺

Thank you, ladies, for your hard work, compassion, and dedication in helping us care for our residents. Your efforts truly made a difference, and we loved having you as part of our Meadows family. 💙
