Can I be honest?
Winter is hard for me too.
The cold. The dark. The way my body just wants to hibernate but my schedule says "keep
going."
But here's what I've learned:
Winter isn't the enemy. Resisting winter is.
When I fight the season—when I try to maintain the same pace I had in summer—my body
breaks down. I get sick. I burn out.
But when I honor winter? When I actually let myself rest, go inward, say no to things that don't
serve me?
I come out of it stronger.
That's what Chinese Medicine teaches us. Winter is the season of restoration. Of rebuilding
your deepest reserves. Of letting go of what's not working.
It's not about doing less because you're weak. It's about doing less so you can emerge in spring
with actual vitality—not just fumes and willpower.
