During Black History Month, we honor leaders whose generosity created lasting change in our community.

C. V. Roman was one of those leaders. A dedicated philanthropist and civic advocate, he believed in expanding access to quality health care for those most in need.

His transformational support advanced cancer care at Parkland Health and lives on through the C. V. Roman Health Center, which continues to strengthen oncology services for patients across Dallas County.

His legacy is one of enduring impact.

Both Parkland's Family Medicine Clinic and Vivian Field Youth & Family Center are CLOSED on Wednesday due to continued winter weather impacts. All other Parkland clinics plan to operate their normal hours.

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on a year of meaningful impact across Parkland Health. Our priorities included cancer care, family planning, pediatric behavioral health, community clinics and women’s health — and thanks to our community, each saw significant progress.
