There are many factors to the obesity epidemic, but it’s widely accepted that food plays a big part

If you don’t want to be in that 74% implement the 80/20 rule and eat within calorie range

What’s the 80/20 rule?

🥗 80% healthy, nutritious Whole Foods

🍪 20% of the not so healthy choices 😜

This is the formula I share for clients after their weightloss phase. Because Being a realist, 100% clean eating just isn’t realistic for most people. But Moderation is key

So aim for 80. It’s doable, you’ll feel so much better and you’ll be helping manage your weight in a manageable way. Bonus if you add in physical activity! Your body needs the movement!!

2. Mindful Plate: Visualize a 9-inch plate and focus on lean protein & veggies.
3. Savor Every Bite: Take your time; it takes 15-20 mins for your brain to signal fullness!

Are you looking to lose weight in the new year? Before you go out and get a gym pass and enter into a year-long contract (that you’ll prob only use in January), let’s talk. 

We would love to teach you to get your nutrition in line and then after it’s on point, you can decide if the gym is something you want to do for fun, not as punishment for what you ate. You will never outrun your fork!

Wouldn’t it be fun to be down 50 pounds January through April? Average weight loss is 12 pounds in a month so it’s very doable. You don’t pay us as your personal health coach either, you only pay for the food you’re going to eat. Since you already eat, you potentially could save money or break even to what you already spend AND lose weight.

5 tips to help you not gain weight today!

1. Drink 16oz of water before you have coffee and get in at least 64 oz of water today. 100 if you can do it.

2. Avoid any fancy coffee order and change it up for BLACK coffee (Hot or iced) with just a splash of cream if you must. Limit coffee to 18-24 oz max

3. Remove right now your temptation that you snack on in evening. Like seriously go throw it in the garbage right now. Peanut butter, ice cream, chips, chocolate etc… I don’t care how much you spent on it. Go throw it away.

4. Eat 3-6 smaller meals that are grilled and not fried today instead of one big meal or lunch or dinner. Also order dressing or condiments on the side. Tons of calories in them.

5. Have a chat with your spouse or Invite a friend or spouse to join you in making health a priority today. Accountability is more important than you know!
