A little Christmas eve reminder 🎄
So often, we’re taught to interpret symptoms as something to fight, silence, or push through.
😪 Fatigue becomes something to override
😤 Irritability becomes a flaw
😰 Tension becomes something to ignore until it demands attention louder.
But what if those sensations weren’t failures… What if they were messages? 💬
This time of year especially, our nervous systems are carrying a lot. Shorter days. Full calendars. Emotional weight. Expectations from others and from ourselves.
When we move faster than our biology is designed to, the body speaks up. 🗣️
Sometimes that communication looks like:
🥱 Exhaustion that doesn’t go away with one good night of sleep.
🥲 Feeling more sensitive, more reactive, or more overwhelmed by things that usually feel manageable.
🫨 Brain fog, disrupted sleep, or a deep desire to withdraw.
None of this means you’re doing something wrong. ❌
It means your nervous system is asking for safety, support, and space.
Healing, real sustainable healing, doesn’t begin by forcing your body to cooperate. It begins by listening👂🏼
By slowing down enough to notice what your system is asking for and responding with care instead of criticism.
Maybe that care looks simple:
💧 More water
🍲 A warm meal
💤 An earlier bedtime
🚫 Less doing
🫁 More breathing
🛀 Allowing yourself to rest without guilt
You don’t need to fix yourself to be worthy of care. You don’t need to wait until things “calm down” to listen. ✨
Your body is wise.
And it’s always communicating.
What has your body been trying to tell you lately? 👀
