Most people say the only way to gain muscle is to 'LIFT HEAVY", but what if your body can’t tolerate heavy loads because of an injury? Or joint pain?. Lucky there’s another option, and that is BLOOD FLOW RESTRICTION TRAINING.

BFR training creates similar muscle activation using lighter weights, making it ideal for people dealing with pain, injuries, or limitations.

This isn’t about replacing traditional training; it’s about using the right tool for the right situation.

Therapists use BFR because it reduces stress while building strength — perfect for limited loading or recovery phases. This isn’t a fad; it’s an intentional clinical application.

How to do BFR calf exercises the RIGHT way 👇

Most people train calves with heavy weigh, but with Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training, you can build strength and endurance using light loads while reducing joint stress.

Here’s how to perform it properly:
✔️ Place the cuff at the top of the leg (not on the calf)
✔️ Use light weight (20–30% of your max)
✔️ Perform high reps (15–30 reps per set)
✔️ Focus on controlled tempo and full range of motion
✔️ Expect a burn, that’s the goal

This method helps improve circulation, muscle growth, and recovery—making it ideal for beginners, rehab clients, or anyone dealing with joint pain.

Save this before your next leg day and try it out.
