We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dell Ingram-Walker, a distinguished leader, trailblazer, and valued member of the NAHSE Dallas–Fort Worth community.

As President of Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center, Dell led with strength, vision, and an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of children and families. Her leadership not only shaped organizations but also inspired those around her to lead with purpose and intention.

Dell’s impact extended far beyond her title. As the first Black female Vice President, COO and President of Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center, her leadership was both historic and transformative, breaking barriers and creating pathways for those who will follow. She was a force in healthcare leadership and a representation of excellence, dedication, and service to community.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, colleagues, and all who had the honor of knowing and working alongside her.

Her legacy will continue to live on in the leaders she inspired and the communities she served.

This Women’s History Month, we honor the leaders, advocates, clinicians, and executives whose impact continues to shape healthcare across generations.

From advancing equity to driving innovation and access, women have long been at the forefront of progress in our communities and institutions.

At NAHSE DFW, we recognize the strength, leadership, and legacy of women who continue to move healthcare forward — in boardrooms, at the bedside, in classrooms, and beyond.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Celebrating Black History Month: Elevating Maternal Health in North Texas.

We’re grateful to our partners, CV Roman Medical Society and Methodist Charlton Medical Center, for helping create space for meaningful dialogue and connection.

A special thank you to our panelists — Dr. Tiffany Woodus, Ariana McGee, Dr. Jessica Dupree, and Dr. Jill Waggoner — and to our moderator, Nikia Bell, for leading a powerful and timely conversation on advancing maternal health across our region.

We appreciate every leader, clinician, and community member who showed up to listen, learn, and engage. Conversations like this move the work forward.
