🌱✨ March Harvest of the Month: Turnip Greens! ✨🌱

This month, we’re highlighting fresh and nutritious turnip greens as our Harvest of the Month! Packed with vitamins and bold flavor, they’re a delicious way to celebrate seasonal produce.

Our turnip greens come from Rio Fresh, proudly grown by a local farmer dedicated to providing high-quality, farm-fresh produce to our community. 🌾💚

We are proud to support local agriculture and bring fresh, locally sourced ingredients from the farm straight to our tables.

Today on Farm to Fork, Chef Lwito is in the kitchen cooking up a delicious, Southern-style turnip greens recipe that’s full of flavor and comfort. 🍽️💚

Fresh, nutritious, and straight from the harvest — this is how we bring local goodness from the farm to your fork! Don’t miss this tasty twist on a classic favorite.

We proudly participated in the Fan Jam at John Lewis Social Justice Academy as part of our ongoing commitment to community engagement. During the event, we connected with families and students by sharing valuable information about our programs and services, and offering giveaways.

Like every Fan Jam event, this was an opportunity to build meaningful relationships within the community. We hosted interactive games, answered questions, and ensured attendees had access to helpful resources. Our goal was to create a welcoming and supportive environment while making a positive and lasting impact.

This month’s Harvest of the Month features tasty sweet potatoes 🍠✨, proudly coming from Frederick’s Peach Company in Pleasanton, Texas. Grown right here in Texas, these sweet potatoes bring rich flavor, beautiful color, and great nutrition to our school menus.

Fun fact: Sweet potatoes are packed with vitamin A to support healthy eyes and a strong immune system—and they’re actually part of the morning glory family, not regular potatoes! 🌱

Fresh, local, and full of Texas pride—this is Harvest of the Month at its best.
