We are excited to be able to co host this amazing networking event! Join fellow clinicians for a gentle, experiential introduction to Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY). This networking/ workshop offers an opportunity to explore how body-based practices can support trauma-informed care through guided movement, reflection, and conversation.
Rather than a traditional yoga class, this experience is designed specifically for mental health professionals interested in learning about evidence-supported, body-based approaches for trauma and PTSD. No prior yoga experience is required, and participation in movement is always optional.
Date: April 10, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Yoga Chikitsa, Richardson, TX
What to bring: comfortable clothing and a yoga mat or towel (some mats will be available).
Guided by Veronica Corona Barker, LPC, LCDC, NCC, TCTSY-F.
NO COST
Cohosted by Happy Autumn Centro de Empowerment, PLLC and Cuore Therapy LLC

Welcome in 🌿
This is my office — a space designed to feel calm, warm, and safe. Every corner reflects care and intention, so that my clients and I can truly exhale here.
Healing takes place when we feel grounded and supported, and that’s the energy I hope you feel the moment you walk in.
It’s a trauma-informed space — but more than that, it’s a space that feels like home. 💜

I’m excited to share that I’ll be presenting at the Latino Mental Health Association of New Jersey’s 2026 Annual Conference, “Fuerza en Unidad: Intersections of Healing & Collective Action,” at The College of New Jersey on March 20–21, 2026.
My presentation, “The Importance of the Immigration Story in Therapy,” explores how migration shapes identity, family dynamics, and mental health across generations. I’ll be talking about how bringing clients’ immigration stories into the therapy room can deepen understanding, honor resilience, and open up new possibilities for healing.
In this session, I’ll share:
* How immigration journeys become part of family narratives and impact belonging, self-worth, and relationships.
* Narrative-based tools for working with migration trauma, separation, and cultural transitions in therapy.
* Culturally responsive approaches that bridge systemic practices with the realities immigrant communities face today.
If you work with immigrant individuals, couples, or families—or you are passionate about mental health and migration—I’d love to see you there.

Next month, I’ll be presenting at the International Immigration Conference at the University of San Francisco. This is more than an academic event—it’s a call to rethink how society talks about immigration. My presentation, “The Importance of the Immigration Story”, invites everyone to reflect, speak up, and share the real problems we face: from misunderstandings and stereotypes to the emotional and psychological costs of starting anew. Immigration is not just a policy issue—it’s about courage, loss, and the hope for belonging
✨ The conference runs October 10–12.
đź’» Join my online talk on October 11 at 3:45 PM.
Register now—it’s free, and it’s a vital space to learn, question, and connect with global voices who care deeply about the human side of migration.
