We are beyond grateful! 🥰

Thanks to you, our amazing moms and families, two of our midwives (Bethany & Becky) were reader-nominated as Mom-Approved Women’s Healthcare Providers and are featured in the February/March issue of DFW Child!

Being “Mom Approved” means everything to us because our care has always been centered around you - listening, supporting, advocating, and showing up with compassion and evidence-based midwifery care every single day. This recognition is a reflection of the trust you place in us and we don’t take that lightly!

Thank you for your votes, your kind words and for allowing us to walk alongside you through such important moments. We’re honored to once again carry the title of “Mom Approved” and will continue doing what we do best - caring for moms with heart, skill and respect. 💞

We are over her swooning over all the 2026 babies already! 🥺🥰 Our calendar is getting nice and cozy since most of our 2026 spots are already spoken for. To translate, this means appointment days are booking up quickly - often a month in advance!!

Once our spring babies start making their grand entrance (into a little warmer world, hopefully 🥶) things should open up a little bit more but if you’re hoping to book a consult, initial visit or preconception visit, don’t delay!

Appointment inquiries can be sent to our admin staff by email (admin@northtexasmidwifery.com) or text (817-402-2659).

We can’t wait to meet you!

⭐️This past Monday we had our biennial neonatal resuscitation and CPR renewal as a group. It’s so important to renew for the sake of our muscle memory but also to hear the latest updates. There can be new evidence for what is most effective in a resuscitation + new technology and equipment that may be helpful or make resuscitation easier. 💪 Emergencies are not something we look forward to but being prepared and ready to act when needed is what makes home birth a great option for a lot of families. 🎉 We set up our equipment for neonatal resuscitation at every birth. It is needed in about 5% of cases and can’t always be predicted. ✅ Ask your midwife at your next appointment if you have any questions about routine newborns care. Don’t forget that there is more information in our free orientation course “are we home birth compatible?” On our website as well! If you are considering home birth, this is a great resource and accessible to anyone. We cover more information on emergencies at home births including neonatql resuscitation. 💕 Thank you to Courtney for facilitating! We appreciate you! 😍
P.S.: I think we all agreed that Lainey, Becky’s baby, was the best part of the whole training! Love getting to spend a whole day with her.

🎉 2025 was a beautiful year! 🎉
We had the privilege of serving so many lovely people. Thank you for trusting us!
💕 As I worked on these statistics, I felt so proud of our overall cesarean rate being 2.73% when the average in Texas is 35%. ‼️‼️‼️ This is HUGE and is because the women we have served have worked so hard to have vaginal births.
💪 In pregnancy, they hired doulas, worked out, monitored their blood sugar, took childbirth education, went to the chiropractor, and worked out some more to increase their likelihood of having a vaginal birth. This meant some of them had their easiest birth. Others pushed themselves harder than they knew possible to have a vaginal birth.
☕️ Us midwives also pushed ourselves hard to problem solve, monitor well but not too much, and figure out how to help everyone have a baby exit their body. I am amazed at what women are capable of.
🎉 Another part of midwifery and being a woman is loss and I am thankful to walk with women when their pregnancy does not go as expected. Women’s strength in their grief is profound and not something I want to overlook in these stats. I am filled with gratitude to witness such a sacred time and hold your tears, not just your laughter.
💙 Some of our clients worked so hard and still had unexpected interventions. I don’t think this is talked about enough. Sometimes we do everything and still have forceps, vacuum or a cesarean. This is hard physically, mentally and emotionally. Healing takes time. For all of these families, please be so proud of yourselves for giving your baby the best start you could + following your intuition when you needed to walk a different path. That is what motherhood is all about.
⭐️ Thank you to all of the birth assistants, doulas, chiropractors, pelvic floor physical therapists, lactation consultants, and body work with that made 2025 what it was! We appreciate and love you all!
💕 Much love and hugs!

These cuties came in with their mom for a routine postpartum visit. It’s hard to put postpartum visits into words. I love the visiting, catching up, processing the birth, hearing how you are doing. It is even more special with families that you have the honor of walking with more than once. 🎉 Thank you for inviting us into such a sacred time and sharing your journey with us. We love you and these cute faces are just the cherry on top! 💕 -Midwife Bethany and the whole North Texas Midwifery team

✨ She did it! ✨
A lot of you have been asking for the stats and she was happy to share! Sweet Midwife Becky had a beautiful birth! Active labor was about 4 hours, not her shortest labor but not her longest either. Her First girl and smallest baby, weighing 8lbs 5oz. Labor started in the early morning hours and Lainey made her arrival at 8:39am. 🎉

It was her second home birth and her very first water birth, and she powerfully caught her own baby with the same calm strength and intuition she brings to every birth she attends. 🌿💧

Our whole team is just overflowing with joy for her. It is the deepest privilege to midwife a colleague and friend — to hold space for someone who has held space for so many others. That honor is not lost on me. It was extra special to surround her, and also feel surrounded by two great assistants that love me, and love Becky so much. Thank you Rosabeth and Inna for being present for Lainey’s birth.

Welcome to the world, little one, and welcome to being a girl mom, Becky! Can’t wait to have you back in February but also so glad you’re getting all your girl snuggles in right now!
