Anxiety is a normal, evolutionary emotion that has helped individuals survive and protect themselves from endangerment. While excessive and persistent anxiety may impair one's daily functioning and warrant psychological attention, it's something that can prompt one to respond appropriately in hazardous situations and that fuels motivation. Overall, switching up your wording may change how you view anxiety and help you view it as less of a threat and something in need of repair.
