As a CrossFit affiliate, our fitness program is based on functionality. Aesthetics are a side effect of our training plan, not our goal. It is our philosophy that your results are a direct reflection of the effort and sacrifice you put forth; we ask you to do nothing that we have not already done. Our only request is that if you use our training, do so with courage and heart. Train to your highest level of intensity and hold nothing back. There is no magic rep scheme or workout; the magic is in your determination and how you overcome your obstacles. As coaches, we are here to provide you with direction and to help you maintain your focus; it is up to you to accept the challenge and become the athlete within yourself.

You know when you try to do it all?

And then can’t be consistent so you give up…

Well that’s pretty common

So take a step back and choose 2-3 things that you are going to be super consistent with

Make sure these are things you KNOW you can stick to on most days

And then stick to them on most days

Not EVERY day

Most days

That’s reasonable and it gives you flexibility

Less restrictive and more realistic

That’s the key to progress and long term success šŸŽÆ

And you should FUEL your workouts!

We are constantly bombarded with information about dieting and exercise so it’s pretty normal to get confused at times

Here are a few things that may help clear up some of that confusion

Even if one of them helps answer a question you have then I’m happy.

There is no best exercise or best diet for losing fat. Be in a calorie deficit in any way that you can comfortably and exercise as much as you can.

Don’t overcomplicate it.

When you are in a calorie deficit. you lose fat all over you body.

You can’t decide where you’ll lose it. Just be consistent and patient. It’ll disappear from where you want eventually

Lifting weights doesn’t make you bulky. Eating too many calories makes you bulky.

Protein is a macronutrient and is in a lot of foods. Taking protein powder is just a way to supplement your daily intake.

Creatine is something that is found naturally in our body and in food. Supplementing it can help you get stronger.

Neither protein nor creatine are in any way comparable to steroids

The majority of the weight you see fluctuate on the scale is just water. Very very little of it is fat.

Carbs are not bad. They will give you more energy and your workouts will be better with them šŸ˜…

One meal won’t derail all your hard work. Starving yourself all day doesn’t mean you can ā€œeat moreā€ for dinner, it just sets you up to over eat and be miserable. Be smart! Fill your plate with protein and veggies first and then save space for the holiday treats you love!
