You may have heard that Providence Health Plan is now partnering with American Specialty Health (ASH) for claims processing and medical necessity reviews.
If you’ve worked with ASH before, you already know what this means:
• More admin burden
• Lower reimbursement rates
• Pre-authorizations and denials that delay care
• No more out-of-network reimbursement
This affects naturopathic doctors, acupuncturists, chiropractors, and massage therapists who work with Providence—and will almost certainly reduce access for patients across Oregon.
As the owner of PDXPERT Medical Billing and an advocate for provider rights, I’m calling on the community to push back.
