Not all prenatal yoga classes are the same—and this is why ✨

Melissa isn’t just a yoga teacher—she’s a certified ayurvedic birth and postpartum doula. (Yes! You can ask her questions!)

That means:
💛 She understands the full journey of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum
💛 She can guide you through movement with real-life context
💛 She creates a space that supports both body and experience

This is yoga—but it’s also preparation, education, and care.

Some experiences go beyond movement.

This is one of them.

On Sunday, April 19, we’re bringing together two powerful modalities — acupuncture and sound — for a deeply restorative, energetically balancing experience led by Amy Adams and Christy Price.

This session focuses on Fire Horse energy:
🔥 Fire brings passion, movement, expansion
💧 Water grounds, cools, and steadies

It’s subtle.
It’s powerful.
And it’s unlike anything else we offer.

🗓 Sunday, April 19

If you’ve been curious about acupuncture or ready to try something new, this is a beautiful place to start.

Spots are limited for this one and it nearly always sells out so don’t delay! ⏰

If you’ve experienced Tanya’s sound baths before, you already know the feeling—the moment the body softens, the breath deepens, and everything else fades into the background.

This hour of sound immersion is an invitation to return to deep rest.

No effort required. Just space to recalibrate, quiet the mind, and let the body find its own rhythm again.

It’s familiar, grounding, and deeply nourishing—perfect for this season of reflection and care.

Mats, blocks, bolsters, and blankets are ready for you. All you need to do is arrive and settle in.

What is Yin Yoga like?

Yin Yoga is slow… like, really slow.

Instead of flowing from pose to pose, you settle in.

You stay for a few minutes at a time—giving your body space to release deeply held tension and find the present moment.

✨ It targets connective tissue (not just muscles)
✨ Improves flexibility + joint mobility
✨ Teaches you how to be still (the hardest part 😉)

It’s less about doing… and more about allowing.

Join us @ YAM Tuesdays at 6:30 PM and discover what happens when you give your body time to open instead of pushing it there.

Never tried yoga before? Perfect—you’ll fit right in.

This class is:
✔ Beginner-friendly
✔ Slow-paced
✔ Alignment-focused
✔ Supportive at every stage (prenatal + postpartum)

You might see movements like:
• Cat/Cow
• Downward Dog
• Lunges + gentle strength work
• Hip openers like Pigeon
• Restorative poses like Reclined Butterfly

And always… space to rest, breathe, and listen to your body.

No pressure. No expectations. Just support.

YAM isn’t a chain, a franchise, or a yoga factory. We’re your neighbors. We live here, work here, and walk our dogs down the same streets you do. Chances are, when you roll out your mat, you’ll be right next to someone who shops at the same grocery store as you.

That’s what makes YAM special — it’s more than classes, it’s a community hub. You’ll find:
🧘 Classes taught by teachers who really see you.
🎶 Sound baths, workshops, and events that refresh your soul.
🎨 Local art that keeps our walls (and spirits) alive.

So come be part of it. Bring your quirks, your questions, your creaky shoulders — we’ve got room for it all.

Some classes energize you.
Some classes challenge you.

Maria’s classes settle you.

Her soft voice, steady rhythm, and thoughtful pacing create a space where you don’t feel rushed or watched—you feel held.

Students often say the same thing after class:
“I didn’t realize how much I needed that.”

If you’ve been craving something slower, quieter, and more intentional… this is it.
