Save the Date for Camp Durango Registration!

Summer is almost here, and we're gearing up for another amazing season at Camp Durango!

Registration opens Thursday, April 9 at 9 AM and closes Saturday, April 11 at 9 PM.

Who: Autistic kids and their siblings
Camp Times: Monday-Thursday, 8 AM-12 PM
Location: UTSA Downtown Campus
Age Range: 5 years old & up
Spots are limited! Due to high demand, campers may register for one week only.

2026 Camp Durango Weeks
• Week 1: June 1-4
• Week 2: June 8-11
• Week 3: June 15-18
• Week 4: June 22-25

Registration will occur online only at www.abautsa.com/Camp
Families will be notified 1-2 weeks after registration if a spot has been offered.

Our CEO, Natesh Kumar, and VP of Intake & Marketing, Anna Sciarillo, joined other Council of Autism Service Providers (CASP) members in Washington, D.C. for the 2026 CASP Fly‑In.

Together with providers representing 33 states, we met with legislators to advocate for the autism and ABA community nationwide.

A major focus of this year’s Fly‑In was the TRICARE T5 transition, which has created significant barriers for both ABA providers and the military families who depend on these services. We urged Congress to take action so families can access the care they need without unnecessary obstacles.

Advocacy takes time and persistence. Progress isn’t always immediate, but showing up, speaking up, and returning year after year is how change happens. Empower is committed to this work for the long haul.
