- Work alongside clients in order to establish a supportive, encouraging relationship
- Help clients establish goals that are pertinent to their stage of life or life situation
- Help clients attain as close to their desired level of mental, emotional, physical, educational, spiritual or career-related development as possible
- Ultimately equip the client with the tools necessary to manage any issues that arise in the future without therapeutic assistance or intervention
Choosing counseling is a courageous step forward. It is often a difficult choice to make, and it takes time, money, and dedication. However, for many people, counseling is a life changing experience that is worth every bit of the sacrifice, There is much that counseling can offer individuals from all different backgrounds, no matter how big or small the need at hand.
