The Institute in Abilene joined the Alliance for Women for their Annual Meeting last week. Our partnership includes the Girls Youth Empowerment Conference “There She Glows," giving girls a chance to learn about career options, tour McMurry University, be mentored by successful women, and learn about resources. This event inspired approximately 120 young women from 6th to 12th grade to fulfill their dreams and a plan to succeed.

Amarillo CAB Member Dr. Shauna Thornhill's annual "Sight Before Christmas" provides free eye exams to anyone who brings her a Christmas gift for Toys 4 Tots. Each year, the Institute is thrilled to provide gifts for the underserved on her behalf. In case you're wondering, the rooster's name is "Wallace!"
