A chef demo and pie on the same day is a pretty solid open house formula. Chef Jov gave guests a look at his healthy pizza made with a moringa-infused crust, and residents followed that up by enjoying a variety of pies for !

Not a bad way to spend an afternoon. 🍕🥧

March birthdays are officially here, and we celebrated our residents with a beautiful private luncheon just for them. These "happy go lucky" babies bring so much fun and wonderful energy into our building every single day. Sharing a meal was the perfect way to honor their special month. 🍀🎈

Our FreshZest winner at Peninsula Del Rey is Gail Rothman with her recipe, Aunt Eve’s Lemon Bars!

Congratulations to Gail on sharing the winning recipe for our community. We loved seeing all the recipes submitted for this year’s FreshZest contest, and this one came out on top!

Her recipe will now be featured in the official SRG Senior Living FreshZest Cookbook. Thank you to everyone who submitted recipes, voted, and helped us celebrate the community favorites and family favorites that made this contest so much fun. 🎉

“George’s Cheese Cake” keeps it classic in the best way. This simple, creamy dessert skips anything fussy and lets the flavor speak for itself.

With a buttery graham cracker crust, a smooth cream cheese filling, and a lightly sweetened sour cream topping, this recipe is all about familiar ingredients coming together into something truly delicious. As the note says, this is not your typical cheesecake. It is simple, creamy, and definitely one worth voting for!

In honor of the season of Love, Bill and Avelina shared the beautiful story behind their twenty-six years of marriage! ❤️

Bill remembers that Avelina first liked the way he did the dishes and how he was always willing to examine his thoughts. She agreed to move in as long as she could remodel both his house and him, which Bill says she did incredibly lovingly and well.

Looking at this wonderful photo of them dancing together, it is easy to see the deep love they share. Bill beautifully described this season of their lives as opening all the saved-up presents of their past, filled with loved ones, singing, and dancing.

As February comes to a close, we are reflecting on all the beautiful friendships we celebrated for ! 🩷

Nell and May are a wonderful reminder that staying active and enjoying life together never goes out of style. With May turning 102 and Nell turning 100 this year, they motivate each other to exercise daily and always make time for their favorite ice cream tradition!

We also want to highlight our amazing MedTechs at Peninsula Del Rey, Roma and Karen. These work besties know exactly how to make each day fun. They coordinate matching shoes, push each other at the gym, and enjoy their way through shopping trips. This bond is built on genuine support, and we love seeing these incredible friendships flourish in our community!

To welcome the , our community hosted a special performance from the Flying Angels of SF! 🌙

Dancers arrived in traditional dress, shared the story of Lunar New Year as a time for fresh beginnings and good fortune, and filled our dining room with music, fan dances, and song. PDR's residents loved watching the choreography up close and seeing younger generations share a celebration that means so much to their families. 🎊

We didn’t call it Galentine’s Day for nothing, this was a full-on celebration of friendship! Featuring our PDR ladies and all the sugar we could find, this afternoon was dedicated to catching up (with plenty of incredible treats in between). 💕
