Everything Is Connected

The Universe and our Body

The universe has for thousands of years been an object of fascination for man. This journey to self-discovery and the discovery of our cosmos has also been for thousands of centuries. He has looked into the vast darkness of space and the sky in search of the truth. Even through religion and science, man has continued the quest to better understand who we are and how we relate to our place of abode. As time goes by and we gained new knowledge and became more enlightened, we began changing our frame of reference depending on what we believe in. Take for instance, people once believed that the Earth was the center of the universe, but thanks to Copernicus and Galileo who provided new knowledge against what was known then, and now we know the truth: that it's only a microscopic part of the humongous Milky Way galaxy which is also one of the many billions of galaxies that the universe houses. As scientists unravel more of the incredible secrets of this amazingly huge universe, we are beginning to realize how small our Earth is in the grand scheme of things. Before we can fully understand this giant "puzzle", we still a long way to go. And maybe we never will. Religion and science are pretty closing in on each other. They are cross-linking. We now know that the physical and the spiritual world may not be as far apart as we are made to believe. They might actually be connected and entangled. While some people have found answers to some of these life's big questions and so found inner peace, others are still searching. One thing we have truly discovered is the amazing connection existing between man and the universe.

  • Understanding the Connection Our coherence with the natural world is no doubt one of the most significant connections that we has as humans. Nature does the work of a botanical bridge that offers a lot of hints to what our reality truly is as a component of a self-sustaining united field. All forms of life are wholly coherent and interconnected. The absence of this coherent, multi-level interconnectivity, would have been the absence of all things as we know it. However, each creature is also a distinct organism. This also concerns our own bodies. We Humans can be described as the living cells in the big body of the universe. We live in a living cosmos, as demonstrated by the most fundamental attributes of our body's biology. As is the greatest, so is the smallest. We are a part of one system; the universe. Have you ever sat down to imagine how everything from around you came to be and from where? All the cars, buildings, plants, animals, people, etc. all came from the earth. None of these things were transported from another universe. The universe mirrors every being or object on this Earth. For example, all the different elements like Iron, Potassium, Magnesium, etc. which are part of the constituent makeup of our body has their source in this universe. The microelements - atoms also share their presence in all things that this universe holds. Survival and adaptability concepts to the ecosystem changed our understanding that we are not the same with the other beings. In summary, all matters came from a single entity that differed as a result of the various challenges presented by evolution.

  • One very significant revelation is that all things are made of #atoms - planets, people, stars, etc. They all arose from the same source, which is why life is deeply connected to the universe. We are not only living in the universe, we are a part of the universe. Scientist have made us understand that a single cell is also a complete system, just like the brain and the whole body. All systems are sustained by homeostasis and driven by feedback loops. This system self-organizes continually. Our bodies are an entire #ecology and we are the ones presiding over them. Just like planetary ecology, our body maintains #harmony and balance by responding to all that nourishes it. In relating the universe to our own bodies, we can say it's like a vessel just like our human body. And the same way #vessels hold content, the universe and our bodies allow a bit of content to stay in. The truth is that the universe and our body all have a common denominator.
