As this month comes to a close, we want to take a moment to recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month. To help raise awareness, FCA placed blue pinwheels around our site, and staff across all locations wore blue in support of this important cause.

Prevention starts with awareness and compassion. By staying informed, supporting families, and looking out for one another, we can all play a part in creating safer, stronger communities.

Just announced!! Chick-fil-A Danbury Fair Mall will be sponsoring our June 6th FREE MLB Life Skills & Baseball Clinic Series and will be providing food for the participants. Thank you Chick-fil-A for everything you do for the community!!

Yesterday, Ridgefield Thrift Shop hosted their Grants Reception and we at Family & Children's Aid were honored to join. RTS has been such a huge supporter of our organization over the years. We are beyond grateful to them and their continued dedication to the community. Thank you to RTS for supporting our Harmony House Shelter for Families with this grant.

Yesterday marked a meaningful milestone as FCA celebrated the ribbon-cutting ceremony for our Harmony House Shelter for Families, a space dedicated to serving and supporting homeless families in our community.

We are incredibly grateful to all the legislators who took the time to attend and show their support. A special thank you to Mayor Roberto Alves, former Waterbury Mayor Neil O'Leary, and DOH Commissioner Seila Mosquera-Bruno for being part of this important moment.

Together, we are taking a powerful step toward providing hope, stability, and a brighter future for families in need.

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to recognize the importance of strengthening families and supporting children so they can grow up safe, healthy, and thrive. Our CAC is dedicated to supporting families as they navigate through difficult times.

This month, FCA has placed Pinwheels of Prevention at our site in support of Child Abuse Prevention Month. These pinwheels serve as a reminder that we all play a role in protecting and uplifting children in our community.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our local Police Departments, Department of Children and Families, Forensic Interviewers and the Office of Victim Services Victim Advocates for their continued support and commitment to the community.
