We are thrilled with the approval of the Stokes County and Novant Health lease by the Stokes County Commissioners at their meeting today! Many thanks to ALL parties that have gotten us to this point.

We appreciate all of our staff and their continued hard work to take care of our community. This could not have happened without each employee doing their part.

Thanks to our community for standing behind us and continuing to use our services. Without your support and trust, we wouldn’t be where we are today.

NOTICE OF MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING TO APPROVE THE LEASE OF STOKES REYNOLDS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. §131E-13(d)
( 8 ), to all interested persons that the Stokes County Board of Commissioners (the “Board”) will hold a public hearing during its regular meeting March 23, 2026, related to a vote to approve a Lease Agreement pursuant to which the County will lease the real and personal property, operating rights and any other related intangible assets utilized in connection with the ownership and operation of Stokes Reynolds Memorial Hospital. The Board adopted the Resolution Declaring the Intent of The Board Of Commissioners of the County of Stokes, North Carolina to Lease, Sell, Or Convey Stokes-Reynolds Memorial Hospital (the “Resolution”) on March 11, 2024.The Lessee will be Novant Health Stokes Medical Center, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Novant Health, Inc., a North Carolina nonprofit corporation.

After the public hearing, and as part of its regular meeting agenda, the Board will vote on the approval of the Lease Agreement. The meeting and public hearing will be held in the Commissioner’s Chambers at 1014 Main Street, Danbury, NC 27016 at 2:00 p.m. on Monday March 23, 2026. All interested parties will be given an opportunity to be heard.

The Lease Agreement is available for public inspection at the office of the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners located at 1014 Main Street, Danbury, NC 27016

Yes, we are open and have been since 1954, located at 1570 NC 8 & 89 Hwy North, Danbury, NC 27016.

We are a fully functional DNV accredited critical access hospital. (Yes, DNV, not DMV.)

Our 40 bed Stokes County Nursing Home opened in 1977.

We have been here for over 70 years providing healthcare to our community. We appreciate each of you for trusting us with your care and allowing us to be with you on your healthcare journey!

LifeBrite Pediatric Clinic of Danbury and LifeBrite Family Medical of Pine Hall Welcomes New Nurse Practitioner to the Team!

LifeBrite Pediatric Clinic of Danbury and LifeBrite Family Medical of Pine Hall are pleased to announce the addition of Sheila Hostetter FNP-C, to our healthcare team. Sheila brings extensive experience in pediatrics, family medicine, and emergency medicine, and a strong commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

In this new role, Sheila will provide comprehensive health services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care, ensuring our patients receive the highest quality treatment in a welcoming environment.

“We are excited to welcome Sheila Hostetter as a full-time member of our team,” said Pamela Tillman, Administrator. “Her expertise and dedication to patient care will be an invaluable asset to our community.”

About Sheila:
Sheila Hostetter, FNP-C, brings 21 years of clinical experience in pediatrics, family, and emergency medicine. She is passionate about providing patient-centered care and empowering individuals to make informed health decisions. Sheila earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University and is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

She loves outdoor adventures, volleyball, softball, spending time with her 10 children and husband. In her spare time she likes making bread and pasta from scratch.
