Some very kind Stokes County residents made some blessing bags for anyone in need. They include a little Christmas candy, some hand warmers and gloves. As always our resource packets, gun locks, and Narcan are available 24/7 during the holidays in our purple box 💜🎄💜

We have a memorial library full of books that go to anyone that could use a little direction or inspiration. We place a memorial tag in the front of each book with the name of a loved one that passed from overdose. If you'd like your loved one to be remembered in our library, please send a message to the page or comment with their name and dates of their time here on Earth. We will be keeping you and your family in our thoughts this holiday season 💜💜💜

Surry County is experiencing a spike in overdoses.
Participants report 2 OD fatalities today and multiple reversals without EMS involvement.
The substance is an orange fentanyl mixture.

Since setting up our 24 hour access humble little resource box.....we've given out 5 resource packets, 5 gun locks, and 5 boxes of Narcan. It may not sound like much but these small changes have huge effects on our community. 5 or more families may not have to spend the holidays without their loved ones and that little bit of change can have huge implications on many people. Please spread the word that we have Narcan, gun locks, and resource packets available 24/7 outside of the health department. The holidays are a time when many families gather and these simple safety measures can prevent disasters 💜💜💜
