February is AMD / Low Vision awareness month and though consumer awareness of this eye disease and related eye condition has arguably increased over the past few years (if TV commercials are any indication), referral for low vision care—a medical standard of care—is still not as high as it could be. For those offering low vision care, what referral-building tips can be shared so that more AMD patients can benefit from the greater safety, productivity and quality of life that this transformative service provides?
