Congratulations to Kelly Shearer! She has been chosen as the recipient of The Light Award for the month of March 2017. Kelly is a part of our St. Mary's team, but sometimes covers for us in the Charleston area, too. Kelly and her husband Chris live in Winfield, WV with their two beautiful children Brylee, age 3 and Cayson, age 1. When Kelly is not running from hospital to hospital and chasing children, she enjoys reading and shopping. During our Leadership Training, Kelly's biggest learning moment was interacting with differing personalities and understanding how everyone thinks/processes differently. The Leadership Training has impacted her interactions in terms of embracing differences and understanding strengths that everyone can bring to a team. Kelly gains most of her satisfaction at work from her expertise in interacting with staff and families in an acute healthcare setting.
We celebrate Kelly Shearer and what she means to not only her family and friends, but her co-workers and patients, too.
