Danvers YMCA held its Annual Meeting at Danversport on December 10, 2025.
Each year the Danvers YMCA Board of Directors present to our members, staff and volunteers a year in review with a focus on our future. They also recognize a number of community members for supporting the Danvers YMCA's mission in serving the Danvers, Boxford, Middleton and Topsfield communities. The Danvers YMCA is thankful for the guidance and leadership of our Board members. This year Artthur Skarmeas has fulfilled his duties as President (2023-2025) and has handed the gavel to Richard Vincent, who will be serving as the Board President from (2026-2028). Arthur had a fantastic 2 years, thanks to his leadership at the Danvers Y in fulfilling the Y's Mission.

This year the following individuals where honored for making a difference:
Connor Willard of Evo Lab Solutions—Volunteerism
For his support and commitment to the Danvers YMCA in its technology initiatives which includes adding new hardware, software and strengthening our cybersecurity bringing the YMCA into the 21st century. Conor volunteered a number of hours ensuring the Danvers YMCA information and technology systems are fully up to date.
Maryann and Don Kowalski—for Social Responsibility
For their continuous support of the YMCA Mission by supporting the Y’s recent renovation by providing the resources allowing us to update the ADA compliances throughout our facility.
Michelle Vesey-for Youth Development
Active volunteer at the Danvers YMCA preschool program for the past 3 years. Ms. Michele volunteers an impressive average of 48 hours each month providing a warm and caring atmosphere. Ms. Michele has become our school "Grandmother" and we are so very happy and feel so blessed to have her. Thank you for your continued dedication to the children in our early childcare program.
ASPIRE —for Healthy Living
The YMCA aims to improve our community's health by providing programs and activities that promote well-being, no matter where you are on your journey toward better health. ASPIRE has supported our cause by providing developmental services for children and families. Empowering youth and families for over 70 years.
Gordon Thomson —Service Award
For his service and commitment to the Danvers Y Board of Directors and making a positive impact on the Danvers community. Guiding the Danvers Y in the right direction and supporting the Y’s mission.
Kevin Guinee and LBK Transportation—Service Award
In support of his commitment to the Danvers YMCA and the Danvers community. Kevin has provided his services as an active Danvers YMCA member, Board of Director and provided transportation for our childcare program for over 20 years.
