Care Dimensions is proud to be advancing toward certification from the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP), strengthening the care and support we provide to patients with dementia and their families.
Three Care Dimensions team members—Sherilyn Peabody, Nurse Clinical Educator; Jenne Robertson, Social Worker; and Mary Crowe, Director of Professional and Community Education—recently became certified dementia trainers after completing NCCDP’s intensive train-the-trainer program, led by the NCCDP’s David Bahamonde, LNHA, CDP, CADDCT, CDCM, and hosted at the Care Dimensions Administrative Offices.
These newly certified trainers will now educate teams across the organization—hospice, palliative care, HomeMD primary care at home, and our Dementia GUIDE program. Once 50% of our patient-facing staff complete this NCCDP-approved dementia training, Care Dimensions will earn the NCCDP Memory Care Seal of Excellence—making us the only hospice and home-based care organization in our region to achieve this distinction.
This Seal, awarded through the NCCDP Memory Care Excellence Network (MCEN), recognizes organizations that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to best-in-class memory care, strengthening staff competence and improving outcomes for individuals living with dementia. Earning this designation underscores our deep, ongoing commitment to caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias with the highest levels of compassion, skill, and expertise.
With more than 48 years of experience supporting individuals with dementia, Care Dimensions continues to lead with innovative programs like the Dementia GUIDE and expanded NCCDP-aligned training—ensuring patients and families across Massachusetts receive the understanding, comfort, and specialized care they deserve.
