Our hearts are heavy but yet we rejoice as another soldier has gone home to be with the Lord. Bishop Arthur R. Linder of 154 Kirkwood Dr., passed away, Monday, January 19, 2026 at his residence.
He was born December 5, 1940 in Salisbury, North Carolina to the late Dugar Linder and Robertta Alexander Linder. He was married to the late Mother Rose Linder and later to Mother Sandra Dean Collins Linder.
He served as pastor of the Mt. Sinai Glorious Church of God for the past 53 years. He was also presiding bishop of the Glorious Churches of God.
A Service of Remembrance will be held Friday, January 30, 2026 at 7:00PM from the Mt. Sinai Glorious Church of God, 716 Jefferson St. Danville, VA. Bishop Harvey Rice will deliver the Word of Comfort. A viewing will begin at 4:00PM.
The Victory Celebration/ National Homegoing Celebration will be held, Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 10:00AM from the Mt. Sinai Glorious Church of God with Bishop Edward Robinson delivering the Word of Comfort. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park.
Left to cherish precious memories of Bishop Linder are a loving and caring wife, Mother Sandra Dean Collins Linder, four sons: Arthur Ray Linder Jr., Steven Linder, Derek Allen Linder and Everett Cordell Linder, 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; One sister, Roberta M. Chandler, One brother, John Thomas Linder and a host of other relatives and friends, The Mt. Sinai Church Family and the Glorious Churches of God family.
The family is at the residence and will receive guests daily from 2:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Please be considerate of the visiting hours!
