It’s with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Mrs. Sandra McCain,78, Sunday, March 8, 2026 from SOVAH Health. The Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, March 13, 2026 at Noon from White Rock Baptist Church, Locust Lane, Danville, VA with Pastor Spencer Woods delivering the Word of Comfort. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family is at the residence, 206 E Thomas St. D. L. Debbie Lynn McLaughlin McIvor, 66, of Danville, Va., departed this life Saturday, February 28, 2026 at SOVAH HEALTH.
She was the daughter of the late John W. McLaughlin Sr., and Georgia Williams McLaughlin.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving husband, William C. McIvor of the home, two children; Ricky T. McLaughlin and Latonya M. Taylor, both of Danville, Va., four grandchildren, two brothers; Ricky L. Mclaughlin(Lynette) and David L. Mclaughlin(Rebecca), one sister, Brenda Wimbush and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, John W. Mclaughlin.
The family will receive guest at the residence 248 Parker Forest Trail(off Parker Rd,the Piney Forest Side) and also the residence of her brother, David Mclaughlin(Rebecca) 1310 N. Main St., Danville, VA.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. from D.L. McLaughlin Funeral Service and Crematorium, 221 S. Main St.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held
Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. from D.L. McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, 4960 Riverside Dr., Danville, VA. Bishop David McLaughlin will deliver the Word of Comfort. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park.

Evangelist Margie Ann Richardson Wilson Johnson,87, of 845 Claiborne St., departed this life, peacefully, at the residence of her daughter, Karen Green in Greensboro, N.C., Monday, February 16, 2026.
She was born in Danville, October 29, 1938 to the late Bernice Hines Baxter and Haywood Baxter. She was married to Robert E. Johnson, who survives.
She leaves to cherish her memory four loving and caring daughters: Robin West, Karen Green, Gwen Stephens(Jermaine),and Angela Hairston; 13 grandchildren,21 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; one sister, Brenda Harris(Willie) and one brother, Joseph Richardson(Evelyn) two children preceded her in death: Pastor Kenneth Wilson and Wendy Bennett
