❓First question: Which elbow is normal?
❓Second question: What is THAT?!
❓Third question: Can you treat this?

These two different elbows belong to the same person and the pictures were taken at the same time.

Many suffering from this might not initially realize that they have it until it becomes painful. It can be from many reasons such as sports (think tennis as a common reason) or it can also be because of an underlying condition such as rheumatoid arthritis.

Now let’s answer the above questions.
1. The top elbow in the above picture is the affected elbow.
2. It’s appears to be Olecranon Bursitis.
3. Yes we can treat this! We treat many of the side effects of bursitis in our office such as pain, swelling and restricted mobility. We will also make the appropriate referral out to a rheumatologist or other healthcare provider if we think it’s needed.

Did you know? At last count, 28 out of 30 MLB teams have chiropractors as part of their medical team staff. These chiropractors have a goal of helping to reduce player injuries while also enabling players who have been injured to return to the game sooner.

Treating all athletes is an incredible thing to get to do. From runners to baseball players, we can help.
