Meet Gunnar from Centre County! 🌟

Gunnar’s sudden illness went from worrying to life threatening in hours. After struggling to breathe, he was rushed to the ER—just in time. A severe infection had led to sepsis and respiratory failure, and Gunnar even went into a brief cardiac arrest. ❤️‍🩹

Life Flight® rushed him to Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, where PICU specialists used Children’s Miracle Network donor funded equipment to save his life. 🚁

Today, Gunnar is healthy, energetic, and thriving—because donors made sure the equipment he needed was there when seconds mattered. ⚾️

Meet William from Union County! 🤩

William entered the world at just 23 weeks, fighting for every breath. Born with almost no amniotic fluid and severe lung complications, he needed immediate, specialized NICU care at Geisinger Janet Weis Children's Hospital. For weeks, his parents couldn’t even hold him as he relied on a ventilator and critical equipment to survive.

Thanks to Children’s Miracle Network donor-funded resources, William received the lifesaving support he needed to grow stronger every day. Against all odds, he fought through every challenge.
Today, William is a spirited, determined little fighter — a true miracle. 💪

Day 3 of Reveal Week - Meet Chance from Columbia County! 🛝

Baby Chance entered the world without a heartbeat. For 15 agonizing minutes, doctors fought to bring him back. And when they did, he was still desperately fragile.

He depended on a ventilator funded by Children's Miracle Network donors just to survive his first days. Slowly, the tiniest signs of hope appeared - any eye opening, a finger squeeze, a soft cry. 🩵

Chance spent 82 in the NICU.
Today, he's a happy, energetic little boy. 💛

Happy Tuesday - meet Tristan & Eden, two brothers from Luzerne County! 💙💛

Tristan and Eden’s lives changed in an instant when a devastating car crash left both boys critically injured. Eden was losing blood fast, and Tristan arrived by Life Flight® with life threatening abdominal injuries. Doctors later said neither child would have survived the trip to another hospital. 🚁

Thanks to Children’s Miracle Network donor funded equipment, two trauma teams worked simultaneously to save both boys — performing massive transfusions and emergency interventions that gave them a fighting chance. Today, Tristan and Eden are survivors: strong, grateful, and full of life. 🧑‍⚕️

It's finally here - the moment you've been waiting for! 💛

We're excited to reveal our 2026 Miracle Kids this week! Each day, you'll get a chance to watch each child's video to learn more about their stories. 💙

First up is Oaklynn from Schuylkill County! ✨

At just 13 months old, Oaklynn woke up screaming and suddenly became violently ill. Within hours, she was in the PICU - doctors discovered a blood clot in her brain, and she was rushed into emergency surgery.

Thanks to the expert care at Geisinger Janet Weis Children's Hospital and Children's Miracle Network donor-supported resources, Oaklynn survived and made a remarkable recovery. Today, she's a spirited, unstoppable two-year-old who loves to play, color, and explore.

CMN at Geisinger is so honored to be apart of this incredible organization! If you or someone you know are interested in learning more about how to serve local nonprofits, this is a great program for you!

🚨 SUMMER APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN 🚨

We are so excited for the full launch of our Community Development Program for high school students, in partnership with our five nonprofit partners and local high schools and universities.

Together, we've designed a one-of-a-kind summer experience that not only teaches the next generations of changemakers how to develop our local region... they'll actually do it working with local leadership teams to design new nonprofit initiatives!
