Moderate alcohol use for healthy adults typically means up to one drink a day for women and up to two drinks a day for men.

Even if your drinking falls within what’s considered moderate, you might still wonder how a break could affect your health.

That’s the idea behind Dry January, an intentional break from alcohol to see how your life and health change, without the pressure of committing forever.

Welcome to the world, baby Rowan, the first baby born at our Childbirth Center in 2026! 💚

At Hendricks, welcoming the New Year’s first baby is a special tradition. Rowan’s family went home with a gift basket made possible by the generosity of our Childbirth Center associates and local community partners, including Portillo's - Avon, IN, Lillybug Photography, Plainfield Library, Avon Library, Walmart, Bread Basket Cafe & Bakery, Raising Moms and Fancy Nancy Photography.

Congratulations to Rowan’s family on this joyful beginning. We’re so excited to welcome all the little ones who will join us this year!

As 2025 wraps up, we’re reflecting on the work that supports our community year-round. Local organizations are a big part of that, and we’re proud to spotlight a few we partner with!

1️⃣ Hendricks County Food Pantry Coalition supports a network of local food pantries, along with hygiene and pet food pantries, helping ensure neighbors have access to essential resources. Learn more about donating or hosting a food drive: https://bit.ly/4jc3SLp

2️⃣ Hendricks County Women's Giving Circle brings women together to support local nonprofits and strengthen philanthropy in our community. In 2025, the Giving Circle awarded $45,000 to nine local organizations. Learn more about their work and how to join the group in 2026: https://bit.ly/4psCyKJ

Thinking ahead to your health goals for 2026?

Lifesteps Weight Management is a 16-week program that recognizes everyone’s routines, schedules and goals are different. Participants work with registered dietitians to make practical changes to nutrition and daily habits, with built-in support and accountability to help them stay on track.

The next Lifesteps program starts in Spring 2026. Orientation is required to participate, and class size is limited! Learn more and register for the January 7 orientation at Hendricks.org/Lifesteps

Migraine treatments don’t look the same for everyone. That’s why Dr. Xyryl Pablo takes time to walk patients through options like Botox when standard approaches aren’t enough.

The national standard for stroke treatment, also known as “door to needle” time, is 60 minutes. Those minutes can make all the difference in a patient’s recovery.

Our Danville Emergency Department was recently recognized for delivering treatment in just 29 minutes — more than twice as fast as the national standard.

Congratulations to our emergency team! We’re thankful for the dedication and quick action that make this level of care possible.

Our Story

In 1962, we put down roots in Hendricks County with a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to our community. More than five decades later, Hendricks Regional Health has grown into a full-service, community-based health system, with a breadth of award-winning, comprehensive services.

We are a nonprofit healthcare organization with a hospital in Danville, Indiana, and our newest hospital in Brownsburg, Indiana. Both of our hospitals are Magnet® designated, and we also have specialty and primary care doctors located throughout Western and Central Indiana, including Avon, Brownsburg, Danville, Lizton and Plainfield.

Part of being a community-based health system means being actively involved in community service, and we’re honored to work with more than 250 local nonprofit organizations throughout Indiana. Our team donates 4,000 volunteer hours annually, and we have over 900 associates who participate in our Hendricks Cares volunteer program. We also provide wellness and occupational services for over 400 local businesses and sponsor enrichment programs at more than 40 local schools.
