We had fun with our Sensory Forest today at Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center! The residents felt different objects without looking, along with guessing different smells and sounds. They felt rocks, shells, pinecones, and sand dollars. The smells were sage, mint, pumpkin, grapefruit, and lime. The sounds were birds, squirrels, a waterfall, a babbling creek, a thunderstorm, and a snowstorm with strong winds. This really tested their sensory skills. At the end, we finished with an oatmeal cookie, which was for our taste sensory test.
