In some areas of life, you get to choose which challenge you face - but you can't avoid challenges altogether. Decide which challenge is harder to you: doing the work or living with the results of avoiding it. Even not making a choice is a choice. ➰

Quick fixes fall apart quickly.

If they worked, your problems would already be solved. There always seems to be a new wellness trend every few months that gains major traction.

You don't want to major in the minors. Practice the foundational habits with consistency. There is no tech or fads that will correct poor habits like too much screen time, poor nutrition, not enough movement or rest.

If you could switch bodies with a friend who is struggling, would you treat them better than you treat yourself? If so, why wouldn’t you treat yourself with the same care you’d give to others?

We experience each day through the thoughts we think and the habits we repeat. Every choice programs the body to feel a certain way.

If you focus on the negative, eat poorly, spend your day on a screen, stay sedentary, and don't get enough rest, your body will only receive negative inputs and will feel the way it's been trained to feel: drained and unhappy.

But, if you can find gratitude, fuel your body with nutritious food, get some sunshine and movement, and take some moments of rest away from a screen, you will flood your body with positive inputs and you will feel better as a result.

We can't always change things outside of ourselves, but we can make sure we are doing all that we can with what we have control of -- our choices. 💪🧠

Doing s**t that sucks everyday helps to build strength in our mind. It lets us know that we are capable of achieving things we have resistance or fear to. We have to choose the challenges we face or we deal with the consequences of not caring for ourselves. There is no other option.

That doesn’t mean everything has to be a challenge or pushing yourself past your limits. The body and mind also need comforts and rest. Everything in moderation.

A good rule is if you have been pushing yourself to burnout it’s probably time for some rest. If you are struggling to get in motion, it’s time to do some things that suck. There is no one size fits all model. It’s about listening to yourself and understanding what you need to get back in balance.

We’ve spent years developing a framework for teaching people how to take care of themselves beyond the standard “eat well and move”. The B.R.E.A.T.H. Method is a simple, whole-person approach to improving the conditions in your life that you have control over.

Thailand is the place where I go to recharge and feel like my best self. Taking trips is often looked at as extra or unnecessary, something that we only deserve when we have everything going right. Just like food and water, we need rest and connection to the people and places that bring us joy. Life is more than just working and paying bills. It’s meant to be enjoyed.

I love the work that I do but it can be very heavy at times. I get to feeling run down and drained just like anyone else. The best thing we can do for others is take care of ourselves. This is how I make sure I can keep showing up as my best. No one will care for us the way that we can care for ourselves. I take these trips so I can be the best I can for those I love.

No matter what you ate yesterday, just make the next right decision. You didn’t ruin all your progress in one day but you will if you stop repeating good habits. Find some gratitude and keep it moving

Your mindset is the lens. 🧠👁

Look for beauty, and you’ll find it. Look for failure, and you’ll find that too. Shift the focus if you can't change the scene - what you seek shapes what you see.

Reminder: choosing nothing is still a choice. ↔️

If you don’t speak up, step out, or steer the wheel… life will choose for you.

So get clear. Get brave. Decide. You’re the one driving.
