We loved sponsoring the Lunch & Learn at the Spanish Fort Senior Center yesterday!

Thank you to everyone who welcomed us and gave us the opportunity to share more about what we do at the Exceptional Foundation Gulf Coast.

Our Director of Operations shared about our programs and the work happening at EFGC, and we were especially proud that a few of our Participants—Heather, Chad, and Zach- also had the chance to speak and share a little about their experiences. 💙

to when Baldwin County Virtual School visited the Exceptional Foundation Gulf Coast as part of Aleena’s “Hometown Heroes” service project! 💙

The project was all about recognizing the incredible work our Staff does each day to support our Participants and make EFGC the “happy place” it is. We were so honored to be highlighted and to share a little about what happens here each day.

Thank you to the amazing local partners who helped make the visit extra special: The Bull Spanish Fort, Mr. Gene’s Beans, and Flow and Glow!

A quick trip to Auburn and our Rainmakers made it count! 🏀💙

After competing at the 2026 State Special Olympics, our athletes are back home with Bronze medals and ribbons and lots of great memories.

We are so proud of their hard work, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Help us celebrate our Rainmakers! 🎉

We’re honored to have Joe Solomon contribute an original painting that will be featured in a special silent auction at our Exceptional Evening fundraiser. His support helps make a meaningful impact for our Participants, and we can’t wait to reveal his piece soon!

More about Joe:
Joe Solomon is a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts Theatre degree with a concentration in Musical Theatre at The University of Alabama (UA). Joe is a Professional Dancer, Choreographer, and Artist.

Joe has had a strong passion for the arts since he was a young child. Joe grew up participating in many productions at Eastern Shore Repertory Theater (ESRT) and iTheatrics in New York City. Recent Theatrical Credits include Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz, Lumiere in Beauty and The Beast on the Bluff (ESRT), Jesus in Godspell on the Bluff and in Central Park in New York City (ESRT) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Stephen Swartz’s production, and recently Linus in Charlie Brown (UA).

This is Joe’s second donation to the Exceptional Evening and third including a piece he donated to Exceptional Arts. In developing his piece for the Exceptional Arts auction, Joe thoroughly enjoyed working with the EFGC participants and the participants loved hearing Joe sing, “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast.

Joe is excited to be presenting a painting to honor and support the Exceptional Foundation Gulf Coast, and he’d like to thank his family and the Eastern Shore community for their unwavering support.
