I am sorry to inform you that I am out on medical leave until January. I have a torn Achilles tendon and unable to work for now. I will let everyone know when I am healed and ready to get back to work!

Thanks for all your sweet messages and calls to check on me. It’s a rough, long recovery and it helps to know so many of you are thinking of me and helping me out with daily tasks! I’m blessed to be in such a supportive community!

I’m back!

Been a fun but exhausting week teaching adaptive kayaking to disabled veterans in Key Largo, Fl

This year is 16 years with Team River Runner. I love the opportunity to introduce veterans to kayaking as a tool to help them on their journey to overcome fears and obstacles to better health and healing. We help veterans from all eras of service with any disability. I love that when we are in a kayak, they are no longer identified by their disability as no one notices that they’re blind or missing legs or anything else. At that moment in time, we are all just kayakers.

This week I watched them overcome tremendous fear of the water, insecurities in their own abilities, self isolation, depression and anxiety. This week we gained trust in each other, new friendships, confidence and renewed spirit.

So now I’m back and ready to get back to work helping you!

I started this business here in Daphne in 2016. My goal was to help people who suffered from chronic pain gain a better quality of life.

You can’t help but to develop close relationships with people you treat as you help them navigate their journey to recovery and healing. We laugh and cry together as we heal.

Often times, I treat people knowing that we are simply trying to manage a condition that there is no cure for and to give them the ability to enjoy life as long as they have it.

It is heartbreaking when you lose one of those special people. My business is personal and I am invested in each and every one that walks in my clinic. I get to know their families and their stories.

Please keep the family of Brittany Dyche Harvey in your thoughts and prayers. She was a beautiful woman, mother, daughter, sister, and wife whose journey was cut short due to cancer. Her legacy of kindness, love, and compassion will live on through everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her.

May you cherish every moment together with the ones you love and those who cross your paths and remind you of the love and joy that still exists in this world.

May she rest in peace and always be remembered. 💗
