I've had a chronic hand rash for 3+ years now.

I've healed it naturally twice but it's come back and I always have less natural minded people ask "what's the dermatologist say?" I had never gone bc I assumed they'd just prescribe me a cream (a bandaid for symptoms) and not address root cause.

Well, today I finally went to the dermatologist and let me tell you- being diagnosed with a skin disorder WITHOUT the provider even looking at my hand was not on my radar šŸ˜‚ but that's what happened.

I'll stick with my functional practitioners that are healing me from within, thanks. What a waste of $200.

I didn’t switch to non-toxic makeup because I wanted to be ā€œcrunchy.ā€

I switched because I learned that what we put on our skin gets absorbed into our bodies.

For years I was putting ingredients on my face every single day that I didn’t understand… and some of them are linked to hormone disruption.

Once I learned how to read ingredient labels, I slowly started swapping things out.

Now I have a few clean makeup products I use every single day because they actually work.

One of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to improve their health is starting with something too complicated.

Supplements.
Extreme diets.
Cutting out entire food groups.

But one of the most powerful places to start is blood sugar balance.

I learned this when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during pregnancy. After pregnancy, my numbers were still in the pre-diabetic stage. Something had to change.

Instead of medication, I learned how to control it through food alone.

Now I still use those same principles today and maintain the healthiest weight I’ve ever been at — even compared to when I used to work out twice a day and eat my macros.

Today I am reflecting on something I'm deeply grateful for: being a woman.

In a world that often minimizes motherhood, marriage, and femininity, I see them as some of the most meaningful roles we can have.

I'm grateful that our bodies were designed to carry life.

I'm grateful for the role of being a wife & helping build a home rooted in love and faith.

I'm grateful for motherhood and the opportunity to nurture, teach, and raise the next generation.

And I'm grateful that womanhood itself is part of God's perfect, intentional design.

These roles aren't small or insignificant. They are powerful, generational, and deeply meaningful.

Today I celebrate womanhood!

A PET PEEVE!

Even at a farmer's market I see items like baked goods made homemade with high fructose corn syrup in it 🤯 they're also using low quality flour most of the time, too. Still important to read your labels- even at a farmer's market!

Literally had to pass on a cupcake today for my little because of this. What's wrong with just plain ole' cane sugar? šŸ˜…
