Our focus is on promoting balance and integration of spirit, mind, and body. By providing a family-like setting, and equipping them with the necessary tools, we will help people transition into a more stable and productive life.

Thereā€™s something really special about seeing things come to life through hard work and a willing group of hands. This week, the women of Total Freedom spent time at Freedom Mountain Ministries getting their hands dirty, prepping the ground, planting, and spreading mulch, and itā€™s already making such a difference. What started as just an idea is beginning to look like something real, and itā€™s turning into such a beautiful, welcoming space.

It wasnā€™t without a few ā€œreal lifeā€ moments either, one bee sting, plenty of sunburns, and a reminder that New Yorkers arenā€™t quite used to Tennessee sunshine in April. But it was all part of the experience and definitely worth it.

They also had the chance to visit Peace Mountain Ranch, where they got to spend time with and feed the animals, a highlight for many and such a peaceful, joy-filled part of the week.

To wrap things up, they slowed it down a bit, taking in the views, spending some time in Elizabethton, and enjoying the beauty of Watauga Lake. They even got to see the most beautiful butterflies fluttering around and landing on them, like a quiet little gift at the end of it all.

A good ending to a full week, lots of work, lots of laughs, and some really sweet memories made along the way.

āœØ March at Total Freedom āœØ

Itā€™s been a really full month here on campusā€¦lots of work, a lot of progress, and some great opportunities along the way.

Some of the guys had the chance to head down to Tennessee to serve at Freedom Mountain, helping with tree work, clearing, and some lattice projects. It was a big job, but they jumped in and got after itā€¦always good to step into something new and be part of building something bigger.

Back here in New York, things didnā€™t slow down.

Our residents had the opportunity to serve at a the Charity Gayle concertā€¦helping with setup and teardownā€¦and even got to meet Charity Gayle. It was a really fun experience, and definitely a highlight for many (especially the girls šŸ˜Š).

And on campus, thereā€™s been a lot of visible change:

ā€¢ Freedom Hall got a complete new look with fresh paint and new wainscoting
ā€¢ The menā€™s hallway was repainted and got new pictures hung on the walls
ā€¢ Ongoing projects continue to improve and update the space

Itā€™s been a mix of hard work, growth, and a few lighter moments too (you might catch a couple of those in the photos šŸ˜„).

Our Story

Total Freedom is a residential, faith-based alternative to addiction treatment. It was established in 2012 by Pastor John and Victoria Kula with the intention of helping men and women heal and reclaim their lives from addictions and other destructive lifestyles. Our focus is on promoting balance of spirit, mind and body through lifestyle transformation. Working through various phases of the program, people will transition into a more stable and productive life.

Our approach to the treatment of addictions and life controlling problems is to teach people how to live a different way of life; with Godly principles and values. Our philosophy is if we can help people change their lifestyle, and desire a new way of living, and help them heal from their past; they wonā€™t want to go back to the life they came from.
