The Management and Staff of Darien Funeral Home pause to honor the life and legacy of Mr. Robert Lee Everson, Sr.
He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, warm smile, and the generosity he shared so freely with all who knew him. As a devoted shrimpman, he carried the strength of the sea in his hands and the kindness of a true sailor in his heart. Beyond his work on the water, he was a dedicated church member, a faithful Sunday School teacher, and a longterm Deacon of Elm Grove Baptist Church sharing wisdom, faith, and encouragement with everyone he taught.
In his quieter moments, he found joy in the simple things—especially in being a wonderful biscuit maker, a gift his family and friends cherished.
His presence brought comfort, and his life reflected the values of love, faith, hard work, and integrity.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Everson family and to everyone whose lives were touched by his grace and steadfast spirit. In this season of sorrow, we stand beside you, surrounding you with love and support.
May the cherished memories of Mr. Everson bring peace to your hearts and light to the days ahead. We invite all to keep his family lifted in your thoughts and prayers, offering strength, comfort, and hope during this difficult time.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” – Matthew 5:4
