Deacon Gus T. Holloway, Jr. of Mt. Vernon, New York, formerly of Darlington, SC, peacefully transitioned on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Calvary Hospice Facility in Bronx, New York.

The family will receive friends at the residence of his sister and brother-in-law, Linda (Monroe) Johnson, 1816 Jeffords Mill Rd., Darlington, SC 29540, beginning Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Celebration of life for Deacon Holloway will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Greater Gethsemane Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, Inc.,1532 E. Old Marion Highway, Florence, SC 29506, Bishop Kenneth J. Swaringer, Officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Rest Cemetery, 2328 Pocket Rd., Darlington, SC 29532.

Public viewing will be 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2025 at the funeral home.
