Yesterday, we joined our staff and community to celebrate the unveiling of the Tree of Remembrance. This meaningful piece has long stood at the entrance of MHLC, and we are proud to have found a beautiful new home for it at LHC. As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue deepening the significance of the Tree of Remembrance. The LHC Foundation will carry on the tradition of offering commemorative leaves in honor or memory of loved ones.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Dick Anderson and Don Arnsmeier for their original creation 30 years ago, and to Dick Allendorf for his time and craftsmanship in bringing its new setting to life. We also thank Dr. Lori Neuman (Retired) and Jim Sinclair for their enduring support of healthcare in Lafayette County.

Today, Ben's Pretzels will be in our parking lot from 11am to 2pm; tomorrow we have invited Vesperman's Ice Cream Truck from 11am to 2pm. Please stop by and enjoy a special treat!

This week, we’re celebrating our one-year anniversary at our new facility! It’s amazing to think that just a year ago, we made the move and opened our doors to the community. Since then, we’ve continued to grow—and we invite you to stop in and see for yourself why LHC MATTERS!

A special thank-you to Zoie Zuberbuhler, Volunteer, for using her creativity to help showcase our growth within the community.

Thank you to the Optimist Club of Darlington for your continued support of so many community programs!

At their monthly meeting, the Optimist Club of Darlington and the Knights of Columbus each donated $600 to Lafayette Hospital and Clinics to sponsor their Reach Out And Read program. Age-appropriate books will be presented to children at their checkups to encourage an early love of reading. A big shoutout to the amazing 2026 Club Scrub students for joining us and exploring exciting careers in health care at our new facility! We had such a great time welcoming students from Argyle, Belmont, Benton, Black Hawk, Darlington, and Shullsburg every Tuesday throughout March.

Health care is an incredibly rewarding career path! We hope you’ll pursue your health care dreams, earn that degree, and one day return home to make a difference in the community you love!

Scholarships available!

LHC has two scholarships available:
Cathy Lee Scholarship & The Lafayette Hospital + Clinics Foundation. Both require a one-year post-secondary education in healthcare or nursing. Applications are open until April 31st. More information can be found on the LHC website at: lafayettehospital.org
