Every thursday, P*e Dee Kids will be highlighting historic trailblazers in the early childhood development community! 🧩

Today we’re honoring Dr. Mamie Phipps Clark, whose work focused on children’s emotional development and early identity. Her research showed that early experiences shape how children see themselves and where they feel they belong- starting in the very first years of life.

At P*e Dee Kids, we continue this work by supporting children and families early, creating environments where children feel understood, supported, and confident as they grow. We’re proud to carry forward this legacy by helping children build strong foundations during the years that matter most. 🩵

We want to help spread the word about a no-cost infant research study being conducted by the Early Social Development Lab at the University of South Carolina, led by Dr. Jessica Bradshaw. Their work focuses on the early identification of autism in infants, supporting earlier understanding and stronger developmental outcomes for families.

🧠 Study Highlights:
• Infants 6 months or younger
• Infant has an older full biological sibling with an autism diagnosis
• Open to families in SC, NC, and parts of GA
• In-home developmental assessments, personalized feedback, and up to $240 in compensation

⏳ Recruitment is open through the end of April.
