Get ready for St. Patrick’s Day with a little magic and intention. Join us for a special Henna Day with Rickie Clavin of Green Grotto Rituals at Apothecorner!

Henna takes a little time to fully develop its rich stain, which makes Sunday, March 15th, the perfect day to get adorned so your design is beautifully ready to show off by St. Patrick’s Day on the 17th.

Rickie will have a special St. Patrick’s themed henna design book available, featuring festive and symbolic designs inspired by luck, protection, nature, and Irish folklore.

As an optional offering, guests may also receive a traditional Irish-inspired energy clearing before their henna application. Using fresh rosemary branches in a smokeless cleansing technique, this ritual helps clear stagnant energy and invite fresh intention - creating a beautiful moment of grounding before the henna art is applied.

Nervous about losing too much length during your next haircut?

You’re not alone.

So many clients come to my chair with scars from previous haircuts.

Some stylists will impose what they think you need instead of what you asked. And yes…sometimes people really do need to break out of their comfort zone for their hair health.

But more often, there seems to be a disconnect between what the client wanted and what the stylist delivered.

To avoid this, our consultations are very tactile. I like for you to show me where you want things to fall throughout the process.

I always take the time to confirm that we’re one the same page, and leave the conversation of something new on your terms. 💇🏻‍♀️

Today Tuesday 17th there's an annular Solar Eclipse starting at 9.56am, peaking at 12.12pm & finishing at 2.27pm Irish time. This is when the Moon passes between the Earth & the Sun but is too far away to cover the whole circumference so there's a glorious halo effect of bright sunlight called a 'ring of fire'. We won't be able to see this Eclipse, only Antarctica & some south sea islands but if you are energy sensitive like me, you are probably feeling this already. A nervous excitement, synchronisation, things completing or beginning. How is this phenomenon for you?

An auspicious time as today is the beginning of the 'Lunar New Year' & the Chinese 'Year of the Fire Horse's 🔥 🐎 🙏

GREEN: An adjective used to describe efforts to preserve environmental quality by being recyclable, biodegradable, or non-polluting. We were an eco-friendly salon from the very beginning of our story.

GROTTO: Pronounced [grot-oh] is a small cave or artificial structure that is like a cave, esp. one used for spiritual purposes. It is our vision to provide you with a personal beauty oasis. A refuge from the usual salon experience to release tension, energize, and emerge with a customized beauty ritual.

BEAUTY: Our perception of beauty is evolving as we celebrate unique qualities and value self-care over toxic mindsets, and ingredients. It is my mission to guide you through your hair goals; whether it's refreshing your lived-in hair color, fixing scalp imbalances, or finding just the right haircut for your texture.
