Happy Holidays! 🎄🎄🌟

12/19/2025

🎄❤️ We are so grateful to have partnered with Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics (CPO) this holiday season to support a local family in need.

Giving back to our community is something we truly value, and this collaboration was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when organizations come together with compassion and purpose. Thank you to the CPO team for your generosity, teamwork, and for including us in such a meaningful experience.

This is what the season is all about community, kindness, and caring for one another. 🎁

⚠️ Pertussis (Whooping Cough) Community Notice ⚠️

Local community schools have sent letters home regarding possible exposure to pertussis (whooping cough).

👉 If your child was exposed AND is showing symptoms, please call our office to schedule an appointment.
The Health Department is recommending that families monitor for symptoms first before seeking testing.

What to watch for:
* Cold-like symptoms
* Prolonged or severe coughing fits
* Coughing that causes vomiting or difficulty breathing
* “Whooping” sound after coughing (may not always be present)

⚠️ Important to know:
* Pertussis is highly contagious
* Vaccinated children can still get pertussis, though symptoms may be milder

Clinic safety instructions:
📞 Please call ahead if your child is symptomatic and needs evaluation
🚗 You will be asked to wait in your car.

Thank you for helping protect our patients and community.
If you have questions or concerns, please call our office.

⚠️ URGENT: Infant Formula Recall — Important for All Parents
We’ve been notified by the CDC that the manufacturer ByHeart has issued a recall of all “ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula” products (all lot numbers, all sizes, including single-serve packs).
CDC

What this means for you:
• Do not use any ByHeart Whole Nutrition infant formula.
CDC
• If you have any remaining product, note the lot number and “best by” date if possible, label it “DO NOT USE,” and store it in a safe place (for at least 1 month) or discard as advised.
CDC
• Clean and sanitize any feeding bottles, surfaces, or containers that may have been used with the formula (hot soapy water or dishwasher).
CDC
• If your baby was fed this formula and shows any of these symptoms: poor feeding, loss of head control, difficulty swallowing, decreased facial expression, seek medical care immediately. Symptoms of infant botulism can show up several weeks after exposure.

What you should do now:
Check if you have this formula at home: any lot, any size.
If yes, stop using it right away.

Contact your baby’s pediatrician if your infant consumed it and you’re concerned.

We know this is stressful; we’re here for you. Please share this post so other parents in our community stay safe and informed.
