The Women, Infants and Children Program, or WIC, is a nutrition education and supplemental food program for children under the age of 5; pregnant women; post-partum women; families, parents, step-parents, guardians and fathers with children under age 5; and a breastfeeding mother with a child under the age of 1 may be eligible for the program. WIC provides:
Monthly food benefits, Mini health checkups, Referrals to community agencies and health care facilities, Lead screenings, Dental screenings and fluoride varnish by a CHC registered dental hygienist, Breastfeeding support for moms and babies
