We specialize in chronic pain relief to get you back to the YOU you want to be.

Did you know women experience chronic pain differently than men — and science is finally catching up?
New research shows that hormone-regulated immune cells make women more sensitive to pain and slower to recover. If you’ve been told “it’s just stress” or “learn to live with it” — you deserve better answers.
At Agape Tree Physical Therapy, we dig deeper. We look at the whole person — your body, your lifestyle, your stress, your spirit — because that’s where real healing begins.
Your pain has a root. Let’s find it together.

Insurance-based PT can be helpful, but it doesn’t always allow enough one-on-one time to address everything you’re feeling or provide lasting relief.
At Agape Tree Physical Therapy, we’re here to fill in the gaps and give you the focused care you may be missing.
Adjunct sessions offer extra hands-on support to reduce pain, improve mobility, and help keep you progressing between your regular PT visits.

To the ones I see holding the world on their shoulders…
You carry the weight of everyone.
You push through exhaustion.
You say “I’m fine” when you’re running on empty.
You keep going — even when your body whispers please stop.
Just know, your worth isn’t measured by how much you can carry, fix, or do.
REST isn’t weakness — it’s WISDOM.
Don’t wait for burnout, breakdown, or illness to finally pause.
You deserve to breathe. To feel. To heal.
Slowing down isn’t quitting — it’s choosing to live fully.

Agape Tree Therapy, PLLC was founded in October 2018 by Dr. Rose Puente, a 2007 graduate of St. Ambrose University's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Dr. Puente has over 12 years of physical therapy experience in both acute and long-term skilled settings and outpatient orthopedics and vestibular rehabilitation.
Dr. Puente founded Agape Tree Therapy as a way to better serve you. At many physical therapy offices, time is of the essence when under the scrutiny of insurance companies and Medicare, BUT at Agape Tree Therapy these limitations don't exist. There is no cheating you out of reaching your highest potential of pain relief and quality of life.
By opening her practice doors, Dr. Puente can now more fully assess you to help you heal as a whole versus just treating what the “doctor ordered” or what insurance companies determine as “medically necessary” treatment. Physical therapy requires an in-depth, head-to-toe postural, biomechanical and gait assessment, incorporating a complete physical, medical and psycho-social patient history to gain overall natural functional healing.
Dr. Puente's goal is to fully assess you so that you can remain pain-free versus relying on a myriad of medications that just mask the root cause of your pain and dysfunction.

Our Techniques
Dr. Puente specializes in a variety of myofascial release techniques and strongly believes all manual treatments must be followed with patient education and neuromuscular re-education to gain proper posture, biomechanics and gait patterns to maintain regained function and quality of life.
Myofascial Release is a natural and powerful tool used to help the healing process begin, as it stimulates cell regeneration, an in turn results in improved pain and function. Dr. Puente finds passion in learning and understanding how the fascial system plays a major role in most aspects of pain, stability and movement patterns.

About Dr. Puente
Dr. Puente graduated with a Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Degree and practiced for five years at a local hospital lab. She later transitioned to the lab at Orthopedic and Rheumatology Associates (ORA) for another five years while she completed her undergraduate degree in Biology and graduate degree in Physical Therapy. Her background as an MLT and a Biology major has helped her understand self-healing is possible starting from the cellular level.
She loves being outside, especially in her Jeep Wrangler. She also loves spending time with her twin boys and husband. She enjoys participating in Crossfit workouts and being part of the Crossfit community. She has a passion for learning about the body’s amazing potential to heal itself.
