This scholarship is housed and administered by the Quad Cities Community Foundation and was established by The Group Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialists, P.C. to honor the memory of our beloved colleague, Dr. Anita L. Pinc. The scholarship is awarded to women attending an accredited medical school with the goal of becoming a medical doctor and the desire to practice within the Quad Cities region. This scholarship is awarded every two years.

Dr. Pinc was an advocate for many local charities and community organizations. She was especially passionate about and supportive of, women in medicine. It is because of this that we wanted to create a scholarship to encourage and support another’s passion and love for medicine. It is our sincere wish and hope that this scholarship will do just that, in Anita’s legacy. Education is the gift that lasts a lifetime, and we feel carrying her legacy forward to future generations of students is one meaningful way to honor her work, accomplishments, and loved ones.

“The individual who scheduled my appointment was very courteous! On the day of my visit, I was greeted by the smiling ladies at the front desk, who were both professional and polite. The nurse who roomed me was personable and kind, and Dr. Steines made me feel like I was her only patient that day. She took time to answer my questions, brought up important concerns, and asked about my job and family life, all while making me feel completely at ease. Last week, juniors and seniors from North Scott High School visited The Group and Revive at The Group Med Spa! They learned about different occupations, gathered perspectives from professionals, and learned about unique career paths and educational journeys.

The students had a great opportunity to see firsthand what it’s like to work in a medical practice. They learned about the various career opportunities available and got a better understanding of the challenges and rewards of working in the medical field.
