🩺 When was your last annual physical?

Your yearly checkup is the perfect time to talk about the things we don’t always love to talk about — including colon cancer screening.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and while it may not be a favorite topic, screening saves lives. In fact, colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when caught early.

If you’re 45 or older — or have a family history — your provider can help you understand your screening options and what’s right for you.

Sometimes the most important conversations aren’t the most comfortable ones — but they can make all the difference. 💙

Happy St. Patty's Day! 🎩 Here are some healthy "Green" Food & Drink Ideas—
💚 Naturally Green Smoothie: Blend spinach, kale, or matcha with fruit for a "Leprechaun" smoothie that provides nutrients, antioxidants, and fiber.
🌈 Rainbow Veggie Board: Create a festive, nutritious platter with cucumber slices, green bell peppers, snap peas, and avocado, using hummus or an edamame dip (Leprechaun Dip).
☘️ Healthy Irish Breakfast: Start the day with steel-cut Irish oatmeal topped with cinnamon and fresh fruit.
🍏 Green Dessert Options: Instead of dyed sweets, try kiwis, green grapes, or make spinach blender muffins for a nutritious snack.
🍋‍🟩Healthy Sips: Enjoy a "Green Apple Spritz" (sparkling water, green apple juice, and lime) or try an alcohol-free stout to stay hydrated.
What other green foods can you think of? Jalapeños, Avocados....Wishing you good health, good luck, and a wonderful day!

🩺 It’s just a checkup… and maybe a slightly awkward conversation.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and while colon cancer screening isn’t exactly dinner-table talk, it is an important part of staying healthy.

Your annual physical is a great time to ask questions and talk with your provider about screenings — including options that may be easier than you think.

If you’re 45 or older (or have a family history), it might be time to start the conversation. We promise — we talk about this stuff every day. 😊

Prevention doesn’t have to be uncomfortable. It just starts with a simple visit. 💙

🩺 Preventive Care vs. Office Visits — What’s the Difference?

At Butler County Clinic, we know insurance coverage can be confusing, so we want to help break it down 👇

🟢 Preventive Care (Annual Wellness Visit)
Focused on keeping you healthy! These visits typically include:
✔️ Height & weight
✔️ Blood pressure & pulse
✔️ Temperature
✔️ Heart & lung checks
✔️ Ears, eyes, throat, skin & abdomen exams
✔️ Immunizations & cancer screenings

🔵 Office Visits
These visits focus on specific concerns, such as:
🩹 Injuries or illness
💊 Medications
📋 Ongoing conditions (high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, etc.)

🔄 Good to Know:
Sometimes preventive care and an office visit happen during the same appointment. When that happens, insurance may apply patient responsibility for the office visit portion, and you may receive a statement afterward.

📞 Questions about coverage?
Insurance benefits vary by carrier, so we recommend contacting your insurance provider for details. We’re always happy to help guide you, too!
