From Little sis to Mom
I couldn't help but think of you from the day of your own birth to this day. You my little sis was now becoming a mom.
Three days and three nights, yes your journey was. You took it in strides, with patience, and determination. For you hospital wasn't an option, may of crossed your mind but didn't entertain.
So focused on your breaths and willingness to sleep. 12 breaths per contractions is what it took to make it through each one. Resting in between was your focus, yes to sleep. Three days and three nights, you've earn the right to brag.
I watched you go through your journey, I must tell you it wasn't easy. Being your big sister, midwife, aunt-to-be carried many emotions but you little sis helped me through. You trusted me, and when I had a doubt you told me "don't doubt yourself." You encouraged and helped me to remain grounded.
You my little sis today are a mom. The woman I saw going through her journey into motherhood is a woman that has earned my outmost respect and admiration. Schuyler is very lucky to have a mom like you. Days that she takes you for granted I will be there to remind her "When? When you went from little sis to mom".
